Thank you for considering registration of Speed Demon¬! As a registered user, you will receive a registration code that will remove all reminders to register from the game and will also enable five-player network play with other registered users. Better still, you'll receive instructions to download five additional states in Route 90, featuring new scenery, new weapons, and new surprises! Your support of shareware will encourage us and possibly other authors to keep distributing cool software in this manner, too. Plus, we'll let you in on the secret cheat codes that enable you to be invulnerable and skip to the end of level.
Not sure if registration is worth the paltry $20? Check out the screenshots of the extra levels at our website, http://www.cerbdev.com/mac/speeddemon/ !
Note that the additional states are available electronically only; if you do not have access to an Internet connection, you will not be able to obtain them. Speed Demon¬ is NOT available on CD-ROM or floppy disks. All of the other benefits of registration will apply, however, including extra weapons in the demolition derby. Note also that WE MAKE NO GUARANTEES ABOUT THE PERFORMANCE OF NETWORK GAMES. There's just too many possible network configurations out there for us to test them all, but we have tested as many as we can.
How To Register
IMPORTANT
If you do not provide us with an email address, be sure to check off the "postcard receipt" box in the Register program! We must charge an additional $1 for registration codes that are mailed to you, to cover special handling, materials, and postage.
Paying for Speed Demon¬ is simple. There are two basic methods of payment:
Online registration.
If you have web access, you may register on-line by visiting http://order.kagi.com/?FX
Alternately, you may use the included Register application to pay via e-mail or postal mail, using a check, credit card, money order, purchase order, or cash.
Paying with the Register application.
Open the Register program that accompanies Speed Demon¬. Enter your name, your email address, and the number of single user licenses you desire for each program you wish to purchase (or Site or Word-Wide licenses). Save or Copy or Print the data from the Register program and send the data and payment to Kagi. Kagi handles my payment processing.
Paying with a Credit Card or First Virtual
This is the fastest option for getting your registration code if you have access to email or fax. If using email, hit Copy after entering your information in the Register application, then paste it into the body of an email. Send the email to shareware@kagi.com, and a registration code will be emailed back to you. You may also hit Print to fax the information to +1 510 652 6589.
Payments sent via email are processed within 3 to 4 days. You will receive an email acknowledgement when it is processed. Payments sent via fax take up to 10 days and if you provide a correct internet email address you will receive an email acknowledgement.
Paying with cash or a USD check
If you are paying with Cash or USD Check you should print the data using the Register application and send it to the address shown on the form, which is:
Kagi
1442-A Walnut Street #392-FX
Berkeley, California 94709-1405
USA
You can pay with a wide variety of cash from different countries but at present if you pay via check, it must be a check drawn in US Dollars. Kagi cannot accept checks in other currencies, the conversion rate for non-USD checks is around USD 15 per check and that is just not practical.
Paying with a Purchase Order
If you have a purchasing department, you can enter all the data into the Register program and then select Invoice as your payment method. Print three copies of the form and send it to your accounts payable people. You might want to highlight the line that mentions that they must include a copy of the form with their payment.
Kagi can not invoice your company, you need to act on my behalf and generate the invoice and handle all the paperwork on your end.
Please do not fax or email payment forms that indicate Cash, Check or Invoice as the payment method. As far as we know, there is still no technology to transfer physical objects via fax or email and without the payment, the form cannot be processed.
Payments sent via postal mail take time to reach Kagi and then up to 10 days for processing. Again, if you include a correct email address, you will hear from Kagi when the form is processed.
